Year 2018
Bengaluru, June 20, 2018: KPIT was recognized with the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) CSR Award for Excellence in Basic Education. This award was conferred upon KPIT for its flagship program of Chhote Scientists, which is in its eighth year of running. In a ceremony attended by dignitaries from the Industry chamber of Karnataka, the award was presented by Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, Dr. G. Parameshwara.
In the past year, Chhote Scientists managed to reach out to 15,000 beneficiary students from across 177 schools in Karnataka and Maharashtra. KPIT could reach as many beneficiaries through its five-pronged model of delivering Chhote Scientists. The past year saw three new cities of Mysuru, Hubballi and Dharwad join the cadre of host cities. Read more in the Press Release here.
The awarding body; FKCCI is one of the oldest Chambers in the country established in the year 1916 by Bharat Ratna Sir. M. Visvesvaraya, the engineer statesman. The prime objective of this conference-cum-awards event was to acknowledge, motivate and incentivize corporate members for contribution towards social and environmental goals, and look at the CSR mandate as an opportunity to move towards strategic philanthropy, rather than an onerous compliance.

We are pleased to announce that in March 2018, at the Youth for Seva CSR Conclave; KPIT was recognized as a Corporate Engagement Champion for its flagship initiatives of “Water Conservation through Mass Volunteering” and Chhote Scientists. Viswa Narayanan S. and Sachin Pandit of KPIT were also felicitated as Employee Volunteer Champions, for their selfless volunteering stint with KPIT and outside.
The CSR Conclave was a platform for leaders from the corporate and development sector, along with CSR experts, policy makers and organizations studying trends and patterns of volunteering to come together to not just identify potential projects to contribute funds, but to also devise models to involve employees and inculcate a culture of volunteering, to build a sense of inclusion, promote sustainability and maximize impact.
KPIT’s CSR Head, Tushar Juvekar was one of the esteemed panelists in a discussion on ‘Ideas and Initiatives: Employee Engagement in Volunteering’, which also included Srikantan Moorthy - Executive Vice President and Head, Global Services, Infosys, Archana Sahay - Head - CSR, Thomson Reuters India and Shannu Kaw - Director, Global Business Services, Cisco Systems. The occasion also saw Publication and release of Paper on Best Practices in Corporate Volunteer Engagement.
The key note speakers at the conclave were Vinay Sahasrabuddhe - Member of Parliament - Rajya Sabha , Vice Chairperson, Indian Social Responsibility Network (ISRN) and Shridhar Venkat - Chief Executive Officer, Akshayapatra.
Year 2017
KPIT has consistently involved itself with Corporate Sustainability - one of the core pillars of growth for the organization; leading it to be recognized by various national and international forums.
In November 2017, KPIT was honored by The CSR Journal Excellence Awards 2017 at a ceremony in Mumbai. The Chief Guest - Shri. Devendra Fadnavis (Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra) graced the event, along with other special guests - Shri. Sudhir Mungantiwar (Minister of Finance & Planning and Forests – Maharashtra), Shri. Kripashakar Singh (Ex-Minister, State of Maharashtra).
KPIT’s sustainability project - ‘Water Conservation through Mass Volunteering’ was unanimously selected as the First Runners-Up in the Environment category. This project is a brainchild of Ravi Pandit (Chairman, Co-Founder and CEO, KPIT), implemented with the guidance of Tushar Juvekar (Head - CSR Initiatives, KPIT) and various employees of KPIT.
This community driven project, helped support drought-stricken villages of Maharashtra & Karnataka, by increasing water resources for farming and domestic purposes.

Dr. Rajendra Singh Rana also known as “The Water Man of India” visited our Water Conservation Project sites at 4 different villages in Velha Tehsil, Pune. He is a well-known water conservationist from Rajasthan, India and has won the “Stockholm Water Prize“ (an award known as Nobel Prize for Water) for his significant contribution towards rejuvenating more than 10 rivers by constructing 11,000+ Check dams & ponds.

Dr. Rajendra Singh Rana was extremely delighted to know about KPIT’s efforts and initiatives towards water conservation. He acknowledged and appreciated the work carried out by KPIT volunteers in association with our NGO partner, Jnana Prabodhini. To appreciate the company’s efforts towards this noble cause, Dr. Rana felicitated Mr. Kishor Patil, CEO & MD, KPIT, during a public ceremony in Pune and expressed that we need responsible corporates like KPIT to fight drought issues faced by the state.

Youth for Seva in Bengaluru, recognized KPIT as a valued partner in community development initiatives. This appreciation was conferred at the NGO’s Annual Day Convention on 22nd January 2017.

Year 2016
New Delhi, India, December 22, 2016: KPIT Technologies (BSE: 532400; NSE: KPIT), a global technology company specializing in IT consulting and product engineering and a pioneer in social impact projects, today announced that it has been conferred with the prestigious “Special Jury Commendation” award for its sustainable water conservation project at the recently concluded FICCI CSR Awards 2015-16, held in New Delhi.
The project titled “Water Conservation through mass volunteering” was selected by members of the jury which included eminent business and social-change personalities and was chaired by Mr. M. Damodaran (ex-SEBI Chairman). A total of 139 pan-India projects were received out of which 39 were merited for the special presentation round. The winners were declared within the particular categories outlined by the jury. KPIT was one among the two companies who were selected for the special jury award and the jury reserved appreciation for KPIT’s volunteering model and the remote terrain selected for the project. In the year 2014, KPIT Technologies won the Amity CSR Award in the IT category. This award was given to KPIT for its innovative and metrics-driven CSR initiatives in the field of Education and Environment. Amity awarded KPIT with a Special Recognition Award for extraordinary work in the field of CSR in 2015.

To honor and record the commitment behind the CSR activities, Pune City Connect has published the book titled “Corporate Impact through Collective Actions”. Pune City Connect is a platform for collaboration between the corporates and the Pune Municipal Corporation. The book profiles and applauds responsible and impactful CSR work carried out across Pune. A case study on KPIT’s CSR initiatives and the book was unveiled in the presence of Mr. Kunal Kumar, Municipal Commissioner, Pune.

November 27, 2014, Amity Global Business School, Pune: KPIT Technologies is proud to have won the Amity CSR award 2014 in the IT category. Eighteen nominations were submitted by various organizations from three sectors, including IT, Manufacturing and Non IT services. After careful screening of all the entries, the judges (Professor Narayan Gune of the Business Ethics Guild and Mr Suhas Deshpande of KPCA), shortlisted two organizations from each sector for the final presentation round, in which KPIT was announced as one of the winners for year 2014. This award was given to KPIT for its innovative and metrics-driven CSR initiatives in the field of Education and Environment. This prestigious accolade was presented to the KPIT CSR team in a well-attended ceremony, held at Pune recently.

October 16, 2014, Tilak Smarak Mandir, Pune: The MAHRATTA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE INDUSTRIES & AGRICULTURE, Pune (MCCIA) recently felicitated KPIT, and awarded us the prestigious B.G Deshmukh, IAS Award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This Award was presented to KPIT, on Thursday, 16th October 2014 at a ceremony held at Tilak Smarak Mandir, Pune, for our many CSR initiatives and the impact we have created in our community.

Our initiatives were considered Innovative and our dedication appreciated for truly transforming many lives of the society.

This recognition is very special to us and reconfirms our commitment to continue the great work we do and to meet our obligations to society in the community we operate in.

Year 2013

March 8, 2014, Pune: Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) recently felicitated KPIT, recognizing us for integrating and internalising Corporate Social Responsibility into our overall corporate strategy. An Appreciation Plaque was presented to KPIT for our Chhote Scientists initiative, under the Innovative CSR projects category, at the 13th FICCI CSR Award ceremony held in New Delhi on 7th March 2014.

The Jury was impressed with the promotion of Science, which opined that after Nehru, KPIT is working religiously on the promotion of the subject. "FICCI and its partners are very impressed with your work in the area of CSR. We are particularly happy with your commitment to CSR and with the importance that you give to CSR work," said FICCI in an email statement.

This recognition is very special and solidifies our commitment to continue our CSR initiatives to meet our obligations to the society and community we operate in. Also, being one of the only three finalists, out of 96 other contenders, is a matter of great pride to all of us.

Year 2012

September 26, 2013, Pune: KPIT won the Cummins CMD (Chairman and Managing Director) Awards 2012, in the CSR category, at the function held in Hotel Westin on 6th Sept 2013. We received the award in for our Chhote Scientist initiative.
